Senior Software Engineer - Frontend

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer with a specialization in Frontend development to join their innovative technology team in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing user-friendly interfaces for our client's cutting-edge web applications. This role requires a deep understanding of modern frontend technologies, a passion for creating exceptional user experiences, and the ability to mentor junior developers. You will collaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions that meet user needs and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality, responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic and APIs.
• Optimize application performance for speed, scalability, and a seamless user experience.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and junior engineers.
• Work closely with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional and visually accurate interfaces.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in Frontend Software Engineering .
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with experience using modern frontend frameworks.
• Proficiency in state management libraries and build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel).
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
