Senior Software Engineer (Microservices)

About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer with a strong focus on microservices architecture to join their team in Sheffield . Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy robust microservices using modern programming languages and frameworks.

• Implement best practices for software development, including automated testing, CI/CD, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments, ensuring high availability.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's technical growth and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing microservices architectures .
• Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C#).
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) and distributed systems is highly valued.
