Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain sophisticated web applications and backend services using Python and the Django framework.
- Design and implement efficient, secure, and scalable database schemas and queries (SQL/PostgreSQL).
- Build and consume RESTful APIs for seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems.
- Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver features.
- Optimize application performance, database queries, and system architecture for scalability and reliability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on Python.
- Proven expertise with the Django framework and building complex web applications.
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), ORM, and database optimization.
- Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team in Oxford .
