Senior Software Engineer – Risk Services (Java / Python)

We are seeking aSenior Software Engineerto join theRisk Services team within GlobalMarkets.This role focuses on designing and buildingscalable, distributed systemsthat supportrisk data processing,analyticsandreporting workflows.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience acrossJava and Python-based backend systems, with a solid understanding ofrisk data flows, distributedarchitecturesandenterprise-grade platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design, developandenhancebackend services and distributed systemssupporting risk data and analytics platforms

Build andmaintainscalable applicationsusingJava (Spring / Spring Boot) and Python

Work withlarge datasetsto support risk calculations, reportinganddownstream analytics

Collaborate withrisk, front-officeanddata teamsto translate requirements into robust technical solutions

Participate incode reviews, testingandrelease processesensuring high-quality delivery

Troubleshoot and resolve issues inproduction systems, focusing on stability and performance

Must-Have Skills

Strong experience inJava (Spring / Spring Boot)andPython development

Proven experience buildingdistributed systems and microservices architectures

Strong understanding ofdata structures,algorithmsandsystem design principles

Hands-on experience working withlarge-scale data processing systems

Experience withmessaging frameworks(e.g., Kafka, MQ)

Strong working knowledge ofUnix/Linux environments

Experience withXML and enterprise data integration patterns

Experience withmodern development practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Build and deployment processes,Unitand integration testing

Domain Experience (Preferred)

Exposure torisk data flows and analytics pipelineswithin capital markets

Familiarity with Risk reporting systems, TradelifecycleandPnLworkflows

Experience working inenterprise financial platformsor similar large-scale environments

Good-to-Have

Exposure tohigh-performance or low-latency systems

Experience withdata streaming and real-time processing frameworks

Familiarity withcloud or containerization technologies(Docker, Kubernetes)

Prior experience inglobal banking or financial services environments
