About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Software Engineer to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen . Key Responsibilities

• Design, code, and test new features and enhancements for our client's primary software platforms.
• Optimize application performance, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and ensure system scalability.
• Collaborate with product owners to define technical requirements and translate them into actionable development tasks.
• Lead technical discussions, contribute to architectural decisions, and promote best practices in code quality and testing.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the engineering team.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in software development, with a strong focus on backend technologies.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java , Python , or C#.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
