Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join their growing product development team in Cardiff . You will play a crucial role in the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation and deployment of innovative software solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications and features.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Participate actively in code reviews , providing constructive feedback to peers.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's technical growth.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development .
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, C#).
- Solid understanding of software architecture patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with database technologies (SQL/NoSQL) and API development.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and version control systems like Git.
