Job Description
Senior Software Engineer within a fast-growing startup environment. We are looking for someone to own features and systems from discovery through to production and ongoing iteration. The team works in short, high-accountability sprint cycles and expects engineers to take real ownership from day one.

What You Will Bring
- Senior level experience as a software engineer with strong hands-on coding ability across the stack
- Proven ability to ship and maintain production software in a fast-moving product environment
- Demonstrated pragmatism in engineering decisions, knowing when to refactor, when to ship, and when to leave well alone
- Strong engineering fundamentals applied to complex, evolving production codebases
- A clear ownership mindset and the ability to translate business requirements into clean, proportionate technical solutions without over-engineering
- Successful experience mentoring or supporting the development of other engineers
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working across product and engineering teams
- The ability to pick up new concepts, technologies, and domain knowledge quickly when required
- Comfort jumping into live codebases and adapting to existing product culture and engineering standards
- Energy for rapid iterative delivery cycles rather than resistance to them
Bonus Points
- Experience with modern backend frameworks (e.g. Node.js, Python/Django, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- A background in product-focused engineering environments
- Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment
