About the Role

Our client, a renowned game development studio in Bristol , is seeking a highly creative and technically proficient Senior Sound Designer to craft immersive audio experiences for their upcoming AAA titles. This role requires a deep passion for gaming and a keen ear for detail, responsible for creating, implementing, and polishing all aspects of game audio, including sound effects, ambience, and music integration. You will collaborate closely with game designers, artists, and programmers to ensure the soundscape enhances gameplay and narrative. Key Responsibilities

• Design, record, and edit high-quality sound effects, ambient soundscapes, and Foley for game environments.
• Implement audio assets into the game engine using middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD) and ensure seamless integration.
• Collaborate with game designers and narrative teams to develop sound concepts that support gameplay mechanics and storytelling.
• Mix and master game audio to ensure clarity, impact, and optimal performance across various platforms.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior sound designers and audio team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve audio-related issues during development and post-launch.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in game audio design, with a portfolio showcasing work on released titles.
• Proficiency with digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Cubase, or Reaper.
• Experience implementing audio assets using game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD).
• Strong understanding of acoustics, signal processing, and audio mixing techniques.
• Excellent creative and technical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
