About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and technically adept Senior Sound Engineer to join their fully remote, cutting-edge team. This role is pivotal in shaping the auditory landscape of various projects within the Arts & Entertainment sphere, from film and gaming to interactive installations. You will be responsible for designing, recording, mixing, and implementing sound that enhances user experience and creative vision. The ideal candidate possesses a keen ear for detail, a mastery of audio technology, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed virtual environment, contributing to groundbreaking audio solutions that captivate audiences worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of audio strategies for complex projects, ensuring high-quality sound production.
- Record, edit, and mix dialogue, music, and sound effects to create immersive auditory experiences.
- Operate and maintain advanced audio recording equipment and software, ensuring optimal performance.
- Collaborate closely with directors, game developers, and other creative teams to achieve the desired sonic vision.
- Implement audio assets into game engines or digital platforms, optimizing for performance and playback.
- Stay current with emerging audio technologies, techniques, and industry standards in the Arts & Entertainment sector.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience as a Sound Engineer , with a significant portfolio showcasing work in film, gaming, or interactive media.
- Expert proficiency with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live.
- Strong understanding of acoustics, signal processing, and audio mixing techniques.
- Experience with middleware like Wwise or FMOD is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
- A degree in Audio Engineering, Music Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
