Senior Sports Coach

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sports Coach to lead coaching programmes at their prominent sports facility in Southampton . This role is integral to developing athletic talent and promoting a positive sporting culture within the community. You will be responsible for designing and delivering advanced coaching sessions, mentoring junior coaches, and contributing to the strategic direction of the sports development program. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of sports science, advanced coaching techniques, and a passion for inspiring athletes of all levels in Southampton .

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deliver high-quality, progressive coaching sessions for various sports and age groups.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior coaches, fostering their professional development.
• Develop and execute long-term athlete development plans to maximise potential.
• Oversee the organisation and execution of training camps, workshops, and competitive events.
• Monitor athlete performance, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance skills and fitness.
• Contribute to the overall strategy and development of sports programmes within the organisation and the Southampton area.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a sports coach, with a proven track record of success at a high level.
• Relevant coaching qualifications and certifications specific to chosen sport(s).
• Strong knowledge of sports science, performance analysis, and athlete conditioning.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
• Experience in developing and implementing coaching curricula and strategies.
• Ability to work effectively with athletes, parents, and other stakeholders.
