About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Sports Massage Therapist to join their thriving physiotherapy and sports injury clinic in Nottingham . This role is ideal for a therapist with a deep understanding of sports-related injuries, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement. You will provide expert manual therapy to athletes and active individuals, working collaboratively with physiotherapists to create comprehensive treatment plans. Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth assessments to identify the cause of sports injuries and musculoskeletal pain.
• Deliver a range of advanced sports massage techniques, including deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and stretching.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to aid in injury recovery, pain management, and performance improvement.
• Educate clients on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and self-care strategies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting assessments, treatments, and progress.
• Collaborate closely with physiotherapists, coaches, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal client outcomes.

Requirements

• Level 4 or Level 5 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy or equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Sports Massage Therapist, preferably with sports teams or in a clinical setting.
• Thorough knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and sports-related pathologies.
• Proficiency in a variety of advanced massage techniques and evidence-based practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
