Senior Squash Coach

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Senior Squash Coach to lead their squash programme in Edinburgh . This role is perfect for an experienced coach passionate about developing squash talent at all levels, from beginners to elite players. You will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging coaching sessions, promoting the sport, and contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of the club within the Leisure & Sports sector. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive coaching environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality squash coaching sessions for individuals and groups of all ages and abilities.
• Develop and implement structured training plans to improve player technique, strategy, and fitness.
• Organize and run squash tournaments, leagues, and social events to promote participation and engagement.
• Identify and nurture talented players, providing guidance for progression within the sport.
• Manage court bookings and equipment, ensuring a well-maintained and accessible facility.
• Promote the squash club and its activities to attract new members and retain existing ones.

Requirements

• Professional squash coaching qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Squash Coaching).
• Minimum of 5 years of coaching experience in squash.
• In-depth knowledge of squash techniques, rules, and player development pathways.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
• Ability to create a fun, safe, and effective learning environment.
