Job Description
Senior Staff Technical Account Manager (TAM)
We are hiring a Senior Staff Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join our team. The Global Partner Integration Team, within the DTC Global Platform Team, owns and manages go-to-market partner integrations—including affiliate‑owned set‑top box (STB) integrations—for Warner Bros. Discovery. These integrations focus on back‑office systems such as authentication, authorisation, shared identity, billing and entitlement services, and on apps deployed on affiliate‑owned equipment. They enable partners to sell or bundle our services to their customers and provide seamless access across our experiences.
This team collaborates with external affiliates and partners throughout the lifecycle of their integrations, alongside internal Engineering, Distribution, Product and other stakeholder teams, to efficiently launch and sustain these integrations.
Role Accountabilities
- TAMs are the technical point of contact for partners and serve as the voice of the partners to internal teams.
- Tech‑astute, assess a partner’s capability to perform an integration accurately and work closely with partner teams to explain functionality and field questions quickly and effectively.
- Evaluate partners’ designs and plans to identify and resolve issues prior to implementation.
- Identify and define requirements unique to partner integrations or devices, and drive technical negotiation and alignment with partners.
- Drive partners to adopt our standard integration architecture, deciding on a bespoke integration only when standard integration is not achievable.
- Work with both internal and external partner engineering teams as needed, and serve as the subject‑matter expert for each integration owned.
- Represent the voice of partners, taking a data‑driven approach to surface key partner insights and using them to improve our integration experience.
- During the integration, partner with our Ops team to verify testing and assist in resolving identified issues.
- Ensure partners stay within the defined strategy of the Partner Integration Program and collaborate with relevant teams to implement bespoke solutions when required.
- Maintain exceptional written and verbal communication skills, backed by a background in technical production, program management, engineering, architecture or a similar discipline.
Qualifications and Experience
- Lead role in delivering a major product or feature launch as a TAM, Product Manager, Program Manager, Engineer or Solutions Architect.
- Balance technical depth, product knowledge, business understanding and organisational and communication skills to ensure sound decisions.
- Understand back‑office systems such as authentication, authorisation, identity management, billing and entitlements, and deliver projects in these areas.
- Understand affiliate equipment, including set‑top boxes, and work with partners to integrate our app onto that equipment.
- Effective communicator across all levels and disciplines—Engineering, Marketing/Distribution and Executive Leadership—both internally and with external Affiliates and Partners.
- Manage multiple stakeholders and projects across various stages of implementation.
- Lead planning, execution and delivery of projects across multiple product and technology teams worldwide.
- Communicate clearly, analyse technical designs, organise project timelines, secure commitments, manage risks, identify critical paths, spot edge cases, triage bugs, review metrics and data, and monitor launch operations for large software projects.
- Use data to assess the success of launched initiatives.
- Demonstrate sound judgement across multiple projects or programme areas and manage more than one project successfully.
- Understand organisational and corporate goals and ensure projects deliver required outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree with significant experience in Technical Account Management, Product Management, Programme Management, Engineering or Solutions Architecture.
- Legal right to work in the country of hire.
Work Model
This role is advertised as a hybrid work model, combining remote and in‑office work. It is subject to applicable laws and company policy and can be updated with reasonable notice.
