Key Responsibilities

• Undertake the detailed structural design of buildings using steel, concrete, masonry, and timber .
• Prepare comprehensive design calculations, drawings, and specifications for tender and construction phases.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address any structural queries.
• Liaise effectively with architects, building control bodies, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, promoting a high standard of technical delivery.
• Perform structural assessments and due diligence for existing buildings.

Requirements

• Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a strong structural focus.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in structural design consultancy.
• Proficiency in using structural analysis software (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer , STAAD.Pro).
• Thorough understanding of UK and European structural design codes (Eurocodes).
• Experience with various construction materials and techniques.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
