Our client is actively seeking a seasoned Senior Structural Engineer to join their fully remote team, contributing to a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and building projects across the UK. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in delivering complex structural designs and managing projects effectively from a distance. You will be instrumental in ensuring the safety, stability, and innovative application of structural engineering principles in a collaborative, remote-first environment. This role offers significant autonomy and the chance to make a substantial impact on key national projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design for a variety of projects, including bridges, high-rise buildings, and industrial facilities.
- Develop complex structural models and perform advanced analysis to ensure design integrity.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed drawings, calculations, and technical specifications.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to a dispersed engineering team.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and other consultants via digital platforms.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural specialization.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in structural engineering design and project leadership.
- Extensive knowledge of advanced structural analysis techniques and software (e.g., SAP2000, RAM).
- Deep understanding of UK and international structural design codes and standards.
- Exceptional communication and remote collaboration skills, with a proactive problem-solving approach.
