About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their fully remote team, contributing to projects across the UK with a focus on regions near Wolverhampton . This leadership role will involve the design, analysis, and management of complex structural projects, ensuring safety, integrity, and optimal performance. You will be instrumental in providing expert structural advice, mentoring junior engineers remotely, and collaborating with diverse project stakeholders through virtual channels. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design and analysis for a variety of projects, including commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and infrastructure.
- Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculation reports to the highest technical standards.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams, fostering remote collaboration and development.
- Conduct structural assessments, dilapidation surveys, and site reviews (when necessary and feasible remotely or via appointed site personnel).
- Ensure all designs comply with current British Standards, Eurocodes, and relevant building regulations.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for structural engineering workstreams within a remote setting.
Requirements
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status, preferably with MICE or MIStructE.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record of complex project delivery.
- Expertise in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, Revit Structure).
- In-depth knowledge of concrete, steel, timber, and masonry design principles.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and site execution challenges.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and remote project management skills.
