About the Role

Our client, a prestigious engineering firm with a strong presence in Manchester , is looking for a seasoned Senior Structural Engineer to enhance their structural design capabilities. You will be responsible for leading the structural design aspects of large-scale building and infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and innovation. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural analysis and design of buildings and infrastructure using state-of-the-art software.
• Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications for construction.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve any structural issues that may arise.
• Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting best practices in structural engineering.

Requirements

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent professional qualification.
• A minimum of 8 years' post-graduate experience in structural engineering design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) and relevant building codes.
• Experience with various construction materials, including steel, concrete, and timber.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
