About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Structural Engineer to join their prestigious practice in Edinburgh . Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis for a wide range of building projects, including commercial, heritage, and institutional structures.
• Develop innovative and sustainable structural solutions, considering material performance and construction feasibility.
• Manage project teams, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards throughout the design process.
• Conduct thorough structural assessments, site investigations, and the preparation of detailed design reports.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and other consultants to achieve project objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of structural engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a closely related field.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE).
• A minimum of 8 years' experience in structural engineering design, with a significant portion in a senior or lead capacity.
• Proven experience in designing with steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer, Robot Structural Analysis).
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
