Senior Structural Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Structural Engineer to join their reputable engineering consultancy based in Leeds . You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and management of structural engineering projects across a variety of sectors, including commercial, industrial, and residential developments. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead project teams and mentor junior engineers. You will play a key role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of our clients' projects, contributing to innovative engineering solutions in the Yorkshire region.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake structural design calculations and analysis for a wide range of building types using industry-standard software.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Manage project deliverables, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.
• Provide technical guidance and supervision to a team of structural engineers and technicians.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.

Requirements

• MEng or BSc in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer (MIStructE or CEng MICE) or working towards it.
• Minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience in structural engineering design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., TEDDS, STAAD.Pro, Revit Structure).
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and Eurocodes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
