About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team in Glasgow . This role involves designing and overseeing the structural integrity of a wide range of construction projects, from initial concept through to completion. You will play a critical part in ensuring the safety, stability, and performance of buildings and infrastructure, working collaboratively with architects, contractors, and other consultants. Key Responsibilities
- Undertake structural analysis and design for various building types using industry-standard software.
- Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications for structural elements.
- Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure design intent is met.
- Provide technical guidance and supervision to junior engineers and technicians.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve structural issues.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Significant experience as a Structural Engineer , with a strong portfolio of design work.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Robot Structural Analysis).
- Thorough knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng MICE/MIStructE) is highly desirable.
