About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Structural Engineer to join their innovative team, focusing on diverse building and infrastructure projects across the UK from their Leeds hub. This role is critical for providing advanced structural design solutions, ensuring the safety, stability, and resilience of various structures. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design process for a variety of building and infrastructure projects, from concept to completion.
- Perform complex structural analysis and calculations using advanced software and engineering principles.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Oversee the construction phase, providing technical support, site inspections, and ensuring adherence to design intent.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, clients, contractors, and other consultants to achieve project goals.
- Mentor and develop a team of structural engineers and technicians, fostering technical growth and high-quality output.
Requirements
- A degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
- Professional Chartered Engineer (CEng) status, ideally with ICE or IStructE.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in structural engineering design and project management.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, or SAP2000, and AutoCAD .
- Strong knowledge of British Standards, Eurocodes, and building regulations related to structures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
