Senior Structural Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead projects from their Wolverhampton office. This is a key role responsible for the conceptualization, design, and delivery of a wide range of structures, ensuring technical excellence and innovation. You will manage project teams, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and uphold the highest standards of engineering practice. The ideal candidate will be a chartered engineer with a proven track record of delivering complex structural solutions, seeking a challenging role with opportunities for leadership and professional growth within a respected consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design for building projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial structures.
• Perform complex structural analysis and design calculations using advanced software.
• Produce detailed design drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation.
• Manage project delivery, including budget, timeline, and resource allocation.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes , Eurocodes, and British Standards.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, fostering technical development.

Requirements

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with IStructE or ICE.
• Minimum of 8 years' relevant structural engineering experience.
• Extensive knowledge of structural analysis software (e.g., Robot Structural Analysis, Tekla Structural Designer) and CAD platforms .
• Proven experience managing multiple projects and diverse teams.
• Excellent understanding of construction methods and materials.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills.
