Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis for new builds, extensions, and refurbishment projects.
• Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications for various materials including steel, concrete, and timber.
• Conduct site inspections to assess existing structures and monitor construction progress.
• Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other consultants to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Mentor and supervise junior structural engineers and technicians.
• Ensure all designs meet relevant British Standards, Eurocodes, and building regulations.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of post-graduate experience in structural engineering consultancy.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Robot Structural Analysis) and CAD.
• In-depth knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
