About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly competent Senior Structural Engineer to join their prestigious firm in Oxford . This role requires a deep understanding of structural principles and a proven ability to design safe, efficient, and innovative structures across a range of project types, from heritage buildings to modern constructions. You will lead structural design tasks, provide expert technical advice, and collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design and analysis for a variety of building projects, including residential, commercial, and institutional sectors.
- Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, and specifications using advanced structural analysis software.
- Conduct site visits for inspections, surveys, and to monitor construction quality and adherence to design intent.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, clients, and construction teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Ensure all structural designs fully comply with relevant UK building regulations, Eurocodes, and best practice guidelines.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical development and a high standard of work within the team.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Significant professional experience in structural engineering design and project management.
- Expertise in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS , SAFE, Tekla Structural Designer).
- Thorough knowledge of construction materials, building codes, and health and safety legislation.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
- Full Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent is essential.
