About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their remote-based technical team. This role is critical for providing advanced structural design and analysis for a diverse range of building projects, from high-rise residential to commercial and industrial facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, safety, and feasibility of structural designs, working autonomously and collaborating effectively with project managers and clients across various locations. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design process for a variety of building projects, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
- Perform complex structural analysis and modelling using state-of-the-art software.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and design reports.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines in a remote setting.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior structural engineers.
- Conduct peer reviews of designs and calculations to ensure quality and accuracy.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in structural engineering design.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with IStructE or ICE is highly desirable.
- Expert proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, Tekla Structural Designer).
- Strong knowledge of materials such as steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills for remote collaboration.
