Senior Structural Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will play a crucial role in the design, analysis, and management of a variety of structural engineering projects, from initial concept through to completion. The successful candidate will be integral to ensuring the structural integrity and safety of buildings and infrastructure, collaborating closely with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders in a virtual environment. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis for a diverse range of construction projects, ensuring compliance with UK building regulations and relevant codes.
• Perform detailed calculations using industry-standard software for steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures.
• Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Manage project timelines and resources effectively to meet deadlines and client expectations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams remotely.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and other consultants through virtual communication channels.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 7 years' experience in structural engineering design within the construction sector.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, or similar.
• Strong understanding of Eurocodes and British Standards related to structural design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
• Chartered Engineer status (MIStructE or MICE) is highly desirable.
