Our client, a reputable engineering consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join their office in Plymouth . This vital role involves leading the structural design and analysis for a variety of building and infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, safety, and efficiency of structural designs, mentoring junior engineers, and liaising with clients and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design of building and infrastructure projects from concept to completion.
- Perform complex structural analysis and calculations using advanced software tools.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and design reports.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and provide technical support.
- Mentor and guide junior structural engineers, fostering their professional development.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Substantial experience as a Structural Engineer, with a strong portfolio of diverse projects.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Tekla, Revit Structure).
- In-depth knowledge of material properties, construction methods, and building regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it is essential.
