Senior Structural Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Structural Engineer to join their expanding team in Edinburgh . You will be responsible for leading design teams, undertaking complex calculations, and ensuring the structural integrity and safety of all projects. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process for a diverse range of projects, including commercial buildings, residential developments, and public infrastructure.
• Perform complex structural analysis and calculations using advanced engineering principles and software.
• Produce detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports that comply with British Standards and Eurocodes.
• Manage project deliverables, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to achieve optimal project outcomes.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional development.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a strong structural specialization.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in structural engineering design.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a recognized professional body is essential.
• Proven track record in designing structures using steel, concrete, and masonry.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as Robot Structural Analysis, Tekla Structural Designer, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations, planning policies, and construction methods relevant to Edinburgh .
