About the Role
Our client is seeking a proficient and innovative Senior Structural Engineer to bolster their engineering capabilities, primarily supporting projects from Wolverhampton . This role is pivotal in designing, analyzing, and ensuring the integrity of critical structural components for offshore platforms, onshore facilities, and renewable energy infrastructure. You will lead complex structural design tasks, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structural analysis and design for offshore and onshore facilities, including topsides, jackets, and pipelines.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., DNV, Eurocodes).
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculation reports.
- Provide technical oversight during the fabrication, installation, and in-service phases of projects.
- Mentor and guide junior structural engineers, fostering technical growth and best practice implementation.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in structural engineering, with significant exposure to the oil and gas or renewable energy sectors.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ANSYS, SACS).
- Strong understanding of steel and concrete design, fatigue analysis, and seismic design principles.
- Experience with material selection and corrosion protection strategies.
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
