Job DescriptionThe Senior Structures Engineer works within the aerospace sector, responsible for the design, analysis and validation of aircraft structural components and assemblies. The role involves applying engineering principles to ensure structural integrity, safety and compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. The individual contributes to the development of innovative solutions and supports production and maintenance activities by providing technical expertise and guidance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct detailed structural analysis using recognised engineering methods, including finite element analysis, to assess strength, fatigue, and durability of aerospace structures.
- Design and develop structural components and assemblies in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Review and interpret technical specifications, drawings and design documentation to ensure compliance and feasibility.
- Lead and support root cause investigations related to structural failures or non-conformities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including design, manufacturing, testing and quality assurance to ensure integrated engineering solutions.
- Prepare technical reports, design justifications and certification documentation for regulatory approval.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians within the team.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and project meetings to contribute expert advice on structural matters.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aerospace materials, technologies and regulatory requirements.

- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
