Senior Subsea Engineer - Offshore Energy

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Subsea Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh , focusing on offshore energy projects. This role is integral to the design, installation, and integrity management of subsea systems for both traditional offshore oil and gas facilities and emerging offshore renewable energy developments, such as floating wind turbines. You will provide technical expertise, ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of complex subsea infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, analysis, and specification of subsea production systems , including pipelines, risers, structures, and equipment.
• Develop and implement strategies for the integrity management and inspection of offshore assets.
• Conduct structural and hydrodynamic analyses for subsea components and systems.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of subsea equipment, ensuring compliance with project requirements and safety standards.
• Collaborate with project teams, fabricators, and installation contractors to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for operational subsea assets.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Naval Architecture Engineering.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in subsea engineering , preferably within the offshore oil & gas or renewable energy sectors.
• Strong understanding of pipeline engineering , riser technology, and subsea structures.
• Proficiency in relevant subsea design and analysis software (e.g., Orcaflex, ANSYS AQWA).
• Experience with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., DNV, API).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and project execution skills.
