Senior Subsea Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent Senior Subsea Engineer to join their engineering and projects team in Reading . This role is critical for the design, installation, and operation of subsea production systems within the oil and gas sector . You will be responsible for leading the technical aspects of subsea projects, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective execution from concept through to completion. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with subsea hardware, umbilical systems, flow assurance, and project execution, providing technical leadership and driving innovation in subsea engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and specification of subsea field developments, including trees, manifolds, and tie-ins.
• Develop installation procedures and oversee execution for subsea equipment.
• Manage interfaces with subsea contractors, vendors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments for subsea systems and operations.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to subsea system integrity management and performance monitoring.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Marine, or Offshore Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in subsea engineering within the oil and gas industry .
• Proven experience with subsea production systems, umbilical design, and installation.
• Knowledge of flow assurance, pipeline engineering, and topsides interface management.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., API, DNV).
• Strong project management and leadership skills, with excellent communication abilities.
