Senior Subsea Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Subsea Engineer to bolster their engineering capabilities in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is crucial for the design, procurement, installation, and operation of subsea production systems. You will contribute to project execution by ensuring the integrity, reliability, and performance of subsea equipment, from concept through to decommissioning. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of subsea technologies and a proven ability to manage complex technical challenges within the demanding offshore oil and gas environment , driving successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and specify subsea components, including xmas trees, manifolds, and control systems.
• Develop installation procedures and oversee offshore installation campaigns.
• Conduct technical integrity assessments and risk analyses for subsea infrastructure.
• Manage interfaces with other project disciplines, suppliers, and contractors.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, data sheets, and procurement documents.
• Troubleshoot and provide technical support for operational subsea assets.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in subsea engineering, with a focus on project execution.
• Strong understanding of relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., API, DNV).
• Experience with subsea production systems, pipelines, and umbilical design.
• Excellent project management and communication skills essential for collaborating with teams in Stoke-on-Trent and offshore.
