Senior Subsea Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Subsea Engineer to join their expanding team in Reading . This critical position involves the design, procurement, installation, and operation of subsea production systems and equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of subsea infrastructure, contributing to the successful execution of complex offshore projects within the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of subsea technologies and a proven ability to manage challenging projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of subsea field developments, including wellheads, trees, manifolds, and pipelines.
• Manage the procurement and fabrication of subsea equipment, ensuring quality and compliance with specifications.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of subsea systems on offshore projects.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for operational subsea assets.
• Develop and implement maintenance and integrity management strategies for subsea equipment.
• Collaborate with project management, drilling, and production teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Ensure all subsea operations comply with stringent health, safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in subsea engineering , with a strong focus on offshore project execution.
• In-depth knowledge of subsea production systems, including SURF (Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines).
• Experience with subsea equipment design, fabrication, and testing standards.
• Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ISO).
• Strong project management and leadership skills, with excellent communication abilities.
