Senior Subsurface Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Subsurface Engineer to join their integrated subsurface team in Wolverhampton . This role demands a broad understanding of reservoir engineering, geology, and geophysics to contribute to the evaluation and development of hydrocarbon assets. You will be involved in detailed subsurface modeling, reserve estimation, and production optimization. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with other subsurface disciplines and development teams to deliver robust technical solutions and drive asset performance. Key Responsibilities

• Integrate geological, geophysical, and reservoir data to build comprehensive subsurface models.
• Perform detailed reserve estimations and resource assessments according to industry standards.
• Develop and optimize reservoir management plans to maximize hydrocarbon recovery.
• Contribute to the technical evaluation of new exploration opportunities and development projects.
• Collaborate with drilling and production engineers to ensure effective well planning and execution.
• Prepare technical reports and present subsurface evaluations and recommendations to management.
• Mentor junior subsurface engineers and geoscientists.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or a related subsurface discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in subsurface evaluation and development, with a strong emphasis on reservoir engineering.
• Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, Tempest) and geological modeling tools.
• Strong understanding of reservoir characterization, fluid properties, and enhanced oil recovery techniques.
• Experience with uncertainty analysis and economic evaluation of subsurface projects.
• Excellent analytical, teamwork, and communication skills.
