About the Role
Our client, a progressive Oil & Gas exploration company, is looking for a highly skilled Senior Subsurface Geoscientist to join their team in Brighton . This leadership role involves integrating geological, geophysical, and engineering data to build comprehensive subsurface models and identify exploration and development opportunities. You will play a key part in the company's strategic decision-making processes, leveraging your extensive experience to de-risk prospects and optimize field development. Key Responsibilities
- Integrate and interpret diverse subsurface data (seismic, well logs, core data, production data).
- Develop and refine complex 3D geological and reservoir models.
- Lead prospect evaluation and risk assessment for exploration and appraisal opportunities.
- Contribute to field development planning and production optimization strategies.
- Mentor and guide junior geoscientists within the team.
- Collaborate effectively with geophysicists, reservoir engineers, and drilling teams.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or a related geoscience discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in subsurface geoscience, with a strong focus on the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proven expertise in seismic interpretation, geological modeling, and well log analysis.
- Experience with industry-standard software packages (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom).
- Strong understanding of basin analysis, sedimentology, and structural geology.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
