Senior Supervisor - Kent Highways Contract

£40,000 - £45,000 per year

Recruiting for a Senior Supervisor to join as part of the new Kent Highways contract.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced highways professional to take on a key leadership role, helping to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality highway maintenance services across the region.

About the Role

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will play a central role in the successful delivery of reactive and routine highway maintenance works. You will be responsible for leading operational teams, maintaining high standards of safety and quality, and ensuring works are delivered efficiently and in line with contractual and client requirements.

You will lead and support a team of Supervisors and Operatives, driving performance, encouraging development and ensuring operational objectives are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage Supervisors and operational teams across the contract Oversee the delivery of reactive, routine and planned highway maintenance works Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with health, safety and environmental requirements Monitor productivity, performance and quality across operational activities Support the Area Manager in delivering contract KPIs and key objectives Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and operational teams Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and increased operational efficiency Promote a positive culture of safety, teamwork and high performanceAbout You

We are looking for an experienced and motivated highways professional who can demonstrate:

Previous experience in highway maintenance or a similar operational environment Strong leadership and people-management skills, with experience leading multi-level teams A good understanding of reactive, routine and planned maintenance delivery Knowledge of health, safety, environmental and compliance requirements Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environmentIf you are an experienced highways professional looking for your next leadership opportunity and want to play a key role in delivering a major new contract please do apply.
