About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Support Worker to join their dedicated team in Southampton . In this crucial role, you will provide high-level support to individuals with complex needs, whilst also guiding and mentoring junior staff. You will contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently met. Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced direct support to service users, addressing complex physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Supervise and mentor a team of support workers, offering guidance and training.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of individual support plans.
- Handle challenging situations calmly and effectively, ensuring the safety and well-being of all.
- Conduct regular staff supervisions and contribute to performance management.
- Liaise with families, external agencies, and healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Support Worker , with proven experience in a senior or supervisory capacity.
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage a team and delegate tasks appropriately.
- Thorough understanding of safeguarding, CQC standards, and care regulations.
