A well-established and award-winning care provider is seeking an experienced Senior Support Worker to join its night team. This position is ideal for a compassionate and motivated care professional who enjoys supporting both residents and colleagues while maintaining high standards of person-centred care.
About the Role
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting residents with their daily care needs while providing guidance and leadership to members of the care team. You will help ensure that residents receive dignified, high-quality care and that care plans are implemented effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality personal care and support to residents
- Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
- Support the development and supervision of care staff
- Assist with care planning and reviews
- Conduct staff supervisions and contribute to appraisalsMentor and coach Support Workers
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with care standards
- Work closely with management and wider healthcare teams
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a Senior Support Worker, Senior Carer, or similar care role
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- A caring, empathetic, and professional approach
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or working towards the qualification
