Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and assistance to clients, addressing their individual needs with empathy and professionalism.
- Mentor, train, and supervise a team of support workers, ensuring adherence to care plans and best practices.
- Conduct regular client assessments and develop/update personalized care and support plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, progress, and any incidents, adhering to strict confidentiality guidelines.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients and their families, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction with the services provided.
- Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new support staff, contributing to team growth and development.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar support worker or caregiving role, with demonstrable leadership capabilities.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care or a related field.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
- Proficiency in using digital communication tools and care management software for remote collaboration.
- A thorough understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures, and a commitment to promoting independence and dignity.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage workload effectively in a remote setting.
