About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join their remote-first team, serving individuals within the Aberdeen area and surrounding communities. This pivotal role involves providing leadership and direct support to vulnerable individuals, ensuring their well-being, independence, and social inclusion. You will work collaboratively with a network of remote support staff, families, and external agencies to develop and implement personalized care plans. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of support workers, providing guidance and supervision remotely.
- Develop, implement, and review personalized care and support plans in collaboration with individuals, families, and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular remote assessments of client needs and progress, adjusting support strategies as required.
- Ensure all care provided adheres to the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, maintaining detailed digital records.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between clients, support staff, and relevant external agencies through virtual platforms.
- Respond to emergencies and critical incidents remotely, providing immediate guidance and support to on-site staff.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior role within community care or social support services.
- A relevant qualification in Health and Social Care, such as NVQ Level 3 or above.
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding principles and person-centred care planning.
- Strong digital literacy, with experience using remote communication and care management software.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, adaptable to a remote working environment.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a remote caseload effectively.
