Senior Tax Advisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Tax Advisor to join their advisory team, based in Sheffield . This role is critical in providing expert tax advice to a diverse client base, encompassing corporate tax, international tax, and VAT. You will be responsible for developing tax strategies, managing compliance, and identifying opportunities for tax planning and mitigation. The hybrid working model allows for a balanced approach, combining collaborative office days with remote flexibility. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned tax professional to lead and mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive tax advisory services to a portfolio of clients.
• Develop and implement innovative tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
• Manage tax compliance engagements, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of returns.
• Advise on complex tax issues, including M&A, restructuring, and international tax.
• Keep abreast of legislative changes and communicate their impact to clients and the team.
• Lead and mentor junior tax professionals within the advisory team.

Requirements

• Fully qualified CTA or equivalent (e.g., ACA, ACCA with tax specialization).
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in tax advisory, with a strong focus on corporate tax .
• Demonstrated expertise in UK tax legislation and international tax principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in a client-facing role within a professional services firm or corporate tax department.
