About the Role

You will collaborate closely with artists and engineers to ensure efficient, high-quality asset creation and integration for various interactive entertainment projects. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom tools, scripts, and plugins to streamline art asset creation and integration workflows.
• Optimize 3D assets, textures, and shaders for performance and visual fidelity within game engines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to art asset pipelines, rendering, and engine integration.
• Collaborate with artists to provide technical guidance and support for asset creation.
• Work with engineers to define technical requirements and ensure seamless integration of art assets.
• Research and implement new technologies and techniques to improve art production efficiency and quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Technical Artist with a strong portfolio showcasing optimization, tool development, and pipeline work.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, MEL, or C#.
• Strong understanding of 3D modeling, texturing, and rendering principles.
• Experience with game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and their asset pipelines.
• Knowledge of shader development and optimization techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a passion for improving art workflows in Stoke-on-Trent .
