About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain art pipelines, tools, and workflows to improve efficiency and quality.
• Create and implement complex shaders, materials, and visual effects within the game engine.
• Collaborate closely with artists and engineers to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure seamless asset integration.
• Optimize art assets for performance across various target platforms, ensuring smooth frame rates and reduced memory usage.
• Create scripts and plugins to automate repetitive tasks and enhance artist productivity.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest engine features, rendering techniques, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Technical Artist in the game development industry, with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency.
• Proficiency in game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, MEL, C#) and experience with shader languages (e.g., HLSL, GLSL).
• Deep understanding of 3D modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts.
• Experience with performance profiling and optimization tools is highly desirable.
