About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Artist to join their innovative development team, operating on a fully remote basis. This critical role bridges the gap between art and technology, ensuring that artistic vision is realized efficiently and effectively within technical constraints. You will develop and maintain tools, pipelines, and workflows that empower the art team to create stunning visuals while optimizing for performance across multiple platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain art production pipelines, tools, and scripts to improve efficiency and quality.
- Optimize game assets (models, textures, animations, VFX) for performance and memory budgets.
- Collaborate with engineers to implement and troubleshoot new engine features and tools relevant to art production.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the art team, troubleshooting asset integration issues.
- Research and implement new technologies and techniques to enhance visual quality and artistic capabilities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Artist in the game industry.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, MEL, or C#.
- Strong understanding of game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and their art pipelines.
- Experience with DCC software (Maya, 3ds Max, Blender) and shader authoring tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
