Senior Technician

As SOCOTEC grows, so do our teams. We’re looking for a dedicated Senior Technician to join our Infrastructure division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Senior Technician to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you’ll need the confidence to work independently, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. A background in engineering environments, along with knowledge of structural testing and instrumentation, is essential to thrive in this position.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

• Lead and undertake product performance and site testing
• Build static load tests and install instrumentation
• Timely completion of technical work and reporting of results
• Physical testing of piled foundations at client sites
• Manual handling of test equipment, working outdoors in all weathers
• Knowledge of testing equipment and methodologies
• Set up equipment and conduct test methods in line with agreed RAMS
• Competent to analyse and interpret basic dataCompletion of site and test sheets
• Undertake tasks in line with company QHSE protocol
• High customer service ethic – passionate about meeting customer expectations and improving service levels

• GCSE English / Mathematics

To be a successful Senior Technician, you should be able to demonstrate:

• Previous experience in a similar foundations testing role
• Full manual UK driving licence
• CSCS card or CPCS Slinger Signallerdesirable but we can facilitate this for you if needed
• Good practical and communication skills
• There will be a need to travel and stay away in hotels
