Key Responsibilities

• Develop long-term network capacity plans and forecasts based on projected traffic growth and service demands.
• Design and plan the evolution of the core and access telecommunications networks.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance network performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business units to align network plans with strategic objectives.
• Create detailed network design documentation, including high-level designs and implementation guidelines.
• Conduct feasibility studies and business case analyses for network upgrade and expansion projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in telecommunications network planning, design, or engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of network architecture, capacity planning principles, and telecommunications technologies (e.g., fibre optics, mobile networks, IP networking).
• Experience with network modeling and simulation tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills, crucial for this role in Nottingham .
