Senior Telecoms Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Telecoms Engineer to join their technical team based in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is critical for the design, implementation, and optimization of complex telecommunications networks and systems. You will tackle challenging technical problems, contribute to strategic network planning, and ensure the highest standards of performance and reliability are maintained. This position requires an in-depth technical understanding and hands-on experience within the fast-paced telecoms industry .

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy advanced network and telecommunications systems, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Conduct in-depth technical analysis and troubleshooting of network issues, implementing effective solutions.
• Develop and implement network security measures to protect against threats and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate new technologies and infrastructure upgrades.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in telecommunications engineering .
• Strong expertise in network protocols, routing, switching, and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Proficiency with network analysis tools and simulation software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in the Stoke-on-Trent area.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are a strong advantage.
