About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Telecoms Field Technician to join their fully remote team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure across various customer sites, ensuring seamless connectivity and service delivery. Your expertise will be crucial in troubleshooting complex technical issues and providing high-level support, directly contributing to the satisfaction and retention of our client's diverse customer base. Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain a wide range of telecommunications equipment, including fiber optic cables, routers, modems, and related hardware.
- Perform routine diagnostics and troubleshooting on network systems to identify and resolve faults efficiently.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to plan and execute installations, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
- Provide first-line support and technical assistance to customers, addressing their queries and resolving issues promptly.
- Document all installation, maintenance, and repair activities accurately in the company's service management system.
- Collaborate with remote support teams and engineers to escalate and resolve more complex technical problems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Telecoms Technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of telecommunications systems.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing issues related to DSL, fiber optics, and VoIP technologies.
- Experience with network cabling , termination, and testing procedures.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills , with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to various customer locations as required by the role.
