Senior Telecoms Field Technician

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Telecoms Field Technician to join their team in Coventry, West Midlands . This role is essential for maintaining and upgrading the telecommunications infrastructure across various sites. You will be responsible for hands-on installation, maintenance, and repair of network equipment, ensuring high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical skills, excellent diagnostic abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship, contributing significantly to the operational efficiency of the company's network across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment at customer sites and network facilities.
• Diagnose and resolve network faults and connectivity issues in a timely manner.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to plan and execute network deployments.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies during field operations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers and junior technicians.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including equipment status and fault reports.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Field Technician or similar role in the telecoms industry .
• Proficiency in installing and maintaining fiber optic and copper cabling infrastructure.
• Skilled in using test equipment such as OTDRs, cable testers, and network analyzers.
• Understanding of broadband technologies and networking principles.
• Valid UK driving license and a willingness to travel across the West Midlands .
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
